Leeds Taxi Company Recommendations

Evening all,

I'm coming down to Leeds this weekend and wondered if anyone could recommend a couple of decent taxi companies? I know in Newcastle the quality of them varies massively (I've had a few taxi's never turn up or "lose" the booking!) and although google gives me lots I'd prefer not to have to wait hours for one!

Amber cars are the biggest I think

I always use Rothwell line through work, never been let down.

I usually use Amber as well

I never use Amber any more since one of their drivers tried to hide the meter from me in an attempt to overcharge by £4. I use Arrow, mainly because they're local to me - but they are good.
Occasionally use Ace if I'm around Headingley way but only because they're nearby.

If I'm calling to book I use Arrow or Premier.
Not had any major issues with either of them.

Ace Cars are ACE if you are Headingley way. Used them for years when I lived in Meanwood and Headers.

There are a couple in town we used to use to get home. Always best to go to the base rather than picking up a minicab at side of street.

If you are by Gatecrasher there is one next to the Buffalo Lounge which are normally good. If you are down the Calls, then just around corner from Adelphi Hotel is another base. Also good.

Usually use Apollo or Amber, I heard good things about Royal as well based in Hyde park
