there is a block of 'standard' freehold garages for sale in birkby, huddersfield.

no power, good condition, flat roof.

what would a block of them be worth in a reasonable area?

I have no idea but would like to put an offer in to the owner who owns a house nearby.

thanks

they aren't in a decent area though they are in Birkby.
Unless you can using them to store drugs, firearms or stolen car parts.

it's "reasonable" enough for me. Norwood Park is in Birkby which is where a lot of doctors live and so on, but let's not argue and let's get back on track.

parts of birkby are bad, parts are very good.

anyway, what do the masses think?

no they're in birkby, near norwood park.

it depends on how rough you are and what you are used to I suppose. Birkby is ok to me, if it's not up to your expectations that's fine but it's good enough for the people that live there smile

I have a house in fixby I think I know the garages, problem is they aren't secure! As a general rule they are worth 10x the yearly rental.

That might work on most but what would you value these at? I'd say no more than £2000 each or it wouldn't be worth the gamble of where they are.
At £2000 they are a good investment to, potentially, get more than a 10% yield.

The chap wants about £50,000 which I have said is too steep

I'd have 'em for £12k for the lot, mind you I suppose most people would smile
