Having totally missed Chris' Dales hoon last month (teach me for not checking the Yorkshire forum enough!), I have organised another for this sunday which I thought I would open up to PH.

Meeting place is in Richmond at the Nuns Close public carpark off Hurgill Road, DL10 4BQ.

Time: 12:30 to hit the road at 13:00

Drive around for a bit, route includes Buttertubs pass, pint at the Buck Inn at Buckden (if its open, if not then the next pub) then drive some more. Finish in Ripon so people can split onto the A1 to get home.

Attendees confirmed so far:

Kong - Z4
Minimax - Elise S1
olbatten - Westfield Megablade
brooksyrotary13 - RX8
AlexB - Celica T-Sport
Tom S - 350Z

Also got a few maybes.

Anyone else? The weather is looking pretty good smile

Going to be busy roads in the afternoon through the dales. From hawes to the pub is a great road but your going to get holiday traffic both ways. I believe the pubs is for sale so could be shut so try kilnsey.

Cheers for the info, shame about the traffic but hopefully won't spoil a good day out.

Shall also investigate alternative pubs just incase smile

Kilnsey is good because you have easy parking. Grassington has plenty and parking but you may have to park away from the centre as it will be busy.

I think you would be much better doing this early, 8.00, 9 at the latest as you won't get a good run with all the tourists around, too late for this one but worth thinking about if you are doing it again

No worries, we have people coming from York, Sheffield, Preston and Hexham so a bit of a mission to get there that early. I'm viewing it more of a 'drive out' rather than a full blooded hoon!

We usually drive on the Moors instead so i'll organise the next one for there.

Good hoon out, sadly a couple of the guys had some car trouble which cut short the run.

wavey To the nice couple in the Evo, apologies for being rude and not asking your names (i'm Tom BTW smile ) and also for the amount of time we took fannying around in Richmond!!
