Rik/all, I've decided to take the lazy/gentleman's choice. I'm going to potter over to Hotel du Vin in Harrogate (to arrive at HdV for about 7.45am), have a strong, black, refreshing coffee and a few Marlboros before hopping on to Malton.

If anyone fancies it I'll be there, if not see you in Malton.
