Does anyone fancy a Sunday run out in our vast and varied selection of winter snotters / barges?

Who cares what the weather is doing, a good early blast through the Dales, Moors, Lakes or anywhere is surely better than nothing, right?

If we can get half a dozen (or more) of us we can look at potential dates between now and Christmas - I guess an early Saturday or Sunday morning meet, couple of hours drive, bacon sarny and coffee then home before 11am would be about right...

It will inevitably be dark, wet, slippery, cold and misc other car-killing things - perfect smile

So, anyone in?

Oh the temptation to pick up an uber cheap snotter from the block just to try and kill it on a drive out!

So does that mean 4 of us? smile

We'll start a list then. I will begin:

benjj - 1990 Mk II Golf GTi with lairy race cam, rusty wheel arches, puddles in the back footwells and precisely 1.60001mm of tread depth on the ditchfinders.

I don't want to put my name down on the list incase I don't show, but I'm keen date, time and location depending. I thought the YBB would be the last run of the year smile

Balders, on this run I'd give you 10/1 odds that at least fifty meters of gaffa will be used.

Not quite sure what you mean by that, unless you meaning sticking various cars back together after they hit that patch of ice and end up in the ditch hehe

Ha, I'm still keen hehe TBF I nearly put it in a hedge on the last dales runs trying to keep up with the fast red car getting further and further away at the very start of the run.

ETA: It was dry and warm!

Love it! I take it that was a fair low speed run then? On summer tyres, or the amazing winter variety?

I'm up for it in my Fiat Coupe 20vt................. although it's probably best if I stick to the back at the moment as it's currently spewing some pretty impressive clouds of blue smoke!! biggrin

This is starting to sound good.

Anyone goes home with a shiny (or fully working) car then they're in trouble.

Ok, suggested dates and location? Harrogate start?

A Harrogate start sounds good to me! I did THIS ROUTE on Saturday morning and it was brilliant! I'm sure most of the roads around that area are equally as good!
