I really don't rate the Ali Raj as above. It's also overpriced.

The one just down from it (i forget the name but they have another in Starbeck) is lovely.

Avoid the Shabab... unless you like to be asked if you want your change.

Er, they're all in the clink - now closed I think. It was good, but many years ago. Google Jay Rayners review for a good laugh.

I've been to Mujib a few times and it's excellent! The one in Starbeck I've never heard a bad word about but never been myself.
My local. Not bad at all, friendly staff, reasonably priced. Quite 'traditional' decor!

I even used Google maps to check I had the right name... I didn't account for them being criminals though smile

Review is a hoot, thanks for that!

It is common to describe a dreadful restaurant meal as being like a car crash. After dinner at the Rajput in Harrogate I have realised the comparison is entirely wrong - at least with a car crash the emergency services eventually come to deal with the pain and distress. With a terrible restaurant experience no one ever comes. You are left only with the bill and the aftertaste and an abiding sense that you did something really stupid by booking a table.

The same guys have one at the bottom of cheltenham parade. Different name I think but same menu.

A lot smarter inside, too!!!
