Thought I'd best start a new thread.

Who fancies a run up over Buttertubs Pass on the 18th Dec?

Prov starting in Skipton out through Settle and back through Kettlewell.

7am start, with a stop for a bite to eat.

Saw your pics from today in the other thread. Big soft spot for the GTI. Looks like fun but 7am!! I'm still unconscious at that time.

Like with Benjj's run, I'd really be up for this but want to get the car sorted first. Dec 18th it'll be 50/50 whether I've had the work done, so you might see my name down close to the date.

Yep, up for that too, you should take that one on Phil and get it sorted.

If we can get these rocking all through winter it would be a right result. My Golf is running better than ever after 2 hours constantly over 5000rpm.

Re: possible run 3 - Could we please not have more than one thread going on the snotter runs at one time. No1 will fade away once all the pics and comments have been done and people will move on to No2, but could we hold off on No3 until at least after No2 - if that makes sense!

Was told about this yesterday, Snotter Run #2 looks doubtful as I'm out the night before...... Snotter Run #3 on the other hand, providing I aint jobless, would be a goer.

Gives me time to make sure Alfa-Snot is actually safe/reliable as Alfa-Snot ever will be

Am afraid I'm not able to do either 2 or 3 as I'm shooting on those dates, but if things change then I'll definitely come along.

4th gear returned yesterday as if by magic - now chanting old bavarian rituals in the hope that 3rd will come back from the dead as well.

It would take us an hour or more just to get there I'm afraid. We do Lincolnshire sometimes on the Wolds Wazz's.

I'm guessing by your post count that you spend most of your time in the Pie & Piston?

TT thread, as spend 8 hours+ a day on a PC for work running auto reports! Have to have some contact with the outside!

Wold wazz, presume that's around the lincs wolds, out around Caldwell area?

My parents moved to Lincolnshire and I've taken the cerb down once to see them. My verdict on the journey would be: Some great striaght roads, some very long striaght roads, some bloody mad drivers overtaking on said striaght roads. Bloody big water filled dykes (smile) on each side of the striaght road. Polish bean pickers upside down in water filled death traps. Tractors pulling out as they see you approaching and those sneaky speed cameras. And to cap it all...signs telling me how many polish bean pickers have died that year on the striaght road.

Ii actually enjoyed my trip (hehe)

which bit of Lincs?

water filled dykes sounds an awful lot like the A18 or a night out in Scunny
