Obviously I'm looking in all the usual places now but I wondered if any of the Yorkshire PH'ers needed a helping had with anything, for instance Christmas cover or to help with extra load?
I was made redundant a few months back, my current part time work has now all but dried up.

I am available immediately for just about anything.

I am a young Design Engineer 'by trade' but I also have experience of specialist retail, as well as manufacturing, warehousing, production, assembly etc. I am computer literate, and I also have my own transport and a clean licence.

I can graft, I will work any hours/shifts, and I don't mind getting cold/wet/dirty. I am friendly, hard working, honest, professional and smart.

I will answer the phones, pick+pack, sweep floors, wash cars, load vans, deal with customers, operate a till, go out fetching and carrying, or anything else you want.

I am based East of Leeds, so Leeds, Wakefield, Selby, York, Pontefract etc are all within easy reach for me.

I am available at simonholehan AT hotmail.com , call (or text) Zero-Seven-Seven-Nine-3113291 (Written so to prevent my number being harvested), and if you have to mail or leave a message I will ring back ASAP.

If you think I can help you or anyone else then please let me know.

Simon.

Good luck Simon, if anything comes up with me I'll let you know.

One thought as we're all 'car' people here and you have some time on your hands - how about offering a car collection/drop-off for people buying snotters off ebay / PH classifieds etc?

I know that I would pay someone £X to do a remote viewing of a car for me (checking all things like fsh, car in condition as advertised, owners on log book, rust, take photos of bad bits etc.) If I bought that car I would also pay someone £X to collect and deliver it to me.

Just a thought, may be too many holes to make it viable.

You are a DESIGN Engineer.

Rolls Royce in Derby, are desperate for contractors and perms starting in the new year (I might be wrong, but too much work on)

Contract jobs go via Alexander Mann Solutions, so if you see any other RC's advertising watch out because they'll be 2 middle men not one.

My lot are recruiting Signalling Design Engineers:

Not sure if it's your thing, but possibly worth a look?

Cheers,
Tom

Just to say that Simon very kindly agreed to come and help me with some of the most boring dross today.

He is a top chap, exactly as he says in his post above. If you are in need of anything doing drop him a line. I wouldn't hesitate to give him a job (if I had a real one going) and would be very happy to have him representing me and my company to clients etc from day one.

I am a real b*stard and have very high expectations of people. He didn't let me down. Now, get on with it and have him in.

My pleasure Ben, nice to meet you. Hope you felt like you'd made suitable progress, best of luck to you and the Mrs!

Darkyoung - Thanks, I couldn't follow that link as I guess it was 'internal', but National Rail are on my list of 'big' organisations that I've been checking - I'll keep my eye on their site closely.
