Having just purchased an R500, can anyone point me in the right direction for a company that know what these things are all about...?
Thanks.

To be honest Al I can not imagine how anyone could enjoy driving these on the road.......... It was raining in Edinburgh so I had the hood on, which aplified the noise of the sequential gearbox beyond belief makes more noise than the engine, I expect with the roof off and aero screen on it will be better....and on the track.
BUT...
It is quite rapid..yes

Simples....Take the windscreen off, fit an Aeroscreen and use a helmet and earplugs!

Can't help with the ECU remap question you had in the other thread (but if you can confirm what type of ECU and engine it has I might be able to point you in the right direction?). In terms of setup and servicing, IMHO you are best doing it yourself on a 7. It's not hard and after a while becomes a way of getting to understand the car more. If you are totally against wielding a spanner, then I'd advise going to a motorsport orientated outfit who have experience with 7's.

You'll find long road journeys aren't really a great idea with a Sequential and LSD in a 7. Best fun is to use it for competition and a bit of trackday use. Have you thought about doing a few Hillclimb or Sprint competitions? There are plenty of events and series to choose from and as an added bonus you'll learn how to really drive and get the most out of you and the car. I don't mean that in a patronising way, but with a R500 you will never get the most from out via road use or from trackdays (agreed trackdays are fun, but not quite the same).

Where are you based? (roughly)
