I'm up past Sainsbury's at Moortown a lot and never really paid any attention to them, but about 75 yards before the Moortown roundabout there's a set of lights on the dual carriageway under the footbridge that say "part time signals" on them. Has anyone ever seen them working? I don't even get what their purpose is. There is no bus lane there, no roads merging, no crossings, and they're about 75 yards before the roundabout, so what exactly is the point of them? None of the other roads joining the roundabout have them either.

Street view.

The roundabout can have huge queues up the hill on the right coming out of town.

However i do not know anyone who has seen them working and i have driven past them at pretty much every time of day in the past and never seen them on.

Nope never seen them working either and I used to have to drive past them pretty much every day at rush hour.

But what are they for? No junction there, no bus lane, no crossing, no nothing.

They did give me a red twice in March or April this year, I did a double take the first time as I haven't ever seen them active before that
