Car booked in for some work on Saturday at a place in Halifax.

Its an all day thing so the missus is driving up with me as well and then dropping me back off when the car is ready.

What is there to do up there while we wait?

If the weather is nice anywhere we can go for a walk / picnic etc day in the sun?

If the weather's grotty i'm guessing we'll end up traipsing around the White Rose centre.

Both of these are great suggestions. The pit might be busy in school holidays though.

You could always get the train to Hebden Bridge, take in a cafe or two then have a walk up the river to Hardcastle Crags.

Shibden Hall & Park is nice, one mile out of the town centre.

Train/Drive to Hebden Bridge...(already mentioned)

Indoor market hall is quite good.
