This is going to be a great weekend, and less than two weeks to go!

Harewood Hill Climb
Golden Jubilee Weekend of Speed Hill Climbing. This weekend marks 50 years of speed hill climb competition at the Stockton Farm course. In addition to two competitive events on the Saturday and Sunday, there will be demonstration runs by 20 cars which have been significant in the early years of the event. Among these are three championship winning cars from the 1960's and one from the 1970's. The Ferguson Climax P99 4 wheel drive car which was raced by Stirling Moss and which won the British Hill Climb Championship in 1964 driven by Peter Westbury will be there. So will Peter who will travel from his home in the Caribbean to meet up with the Ferguson again. There will be displays of classic cars, activities for children and the Variety Club will be there.
Practice on both days from 09:00 with competitive runs from approx 14:00. Runs by the invited historic cars will be at approx.12:00 & 13:30 on each day. Admission £10 on the day or at a discount when booked via the ticket website. Accompanied children 12 & under free. Parking free.

It's a great day out (and I've been going for 40 years) but wrap up WARM, no matter what the forecast and you'll enjoy it more.
There's usually a cold wind blowing across the valley.thumbup

I've been thinking of going along tomorrow. Not sure about the walk from the entrance to Harewood House though, bit dodgy down that road.

You don't need to walk, you can park at the Hillclimb or I think there is probably public footpath which will take you from the Harewood Arms to the car parks at the hillclimb, haven't been along that way for years though.

You need a working car to do that, i'd be on the bus.

Definitely a footpath beside the Harewood Arms, just not sure how easily it will get you into the hillclimb but looking on Google Maps it certainly gets you close or could miss out a lot of the main road.

The path could be a possible way down without the main road, it seems to go pretty close. Might head over, just need to check the bus times, i think the early one gets there about 10am.

Think i might give this one a miss, too tired for a few hours travelling today.

Might get some fresh petrol and see if that brings the audi back to life instead, its sparking with fuel and air and still not starting, think it might be the 9 month old petrol in the tank.
