Anyone been to the YWP?
Is it worth the admission price?
How does it match up to the likes of Chester & Knowsley?

I've been to YWP recently (< 12 months)

Not in the same league as Chester / Know IMO. But then, it is Doncaster.

A good venue. We were able to get comfortably round it in half-a-day. In terms of VFM - not sure. Borderline if you ask me...

We've been a few times with our 6 year old. We're in Sheffield so it's not far. Value for money ? Well we were their from opening to closing and always had a great day.

Foods pretty good as well.

Went over summer, and though it's no Chester Zoo, I think it's pretty good.
Value for money? I think it's about fair

Excellent and different to other zoos in many ways. There are opportunities to get in the enclosures with a lot of the animals, which makes a change from looking at them through bars. Adds a bit of excitement to the lions as well.

I live a few hundred yards from it, the chuffing Lions, Tigers etc love to roar all night and keep me awake.

They keep improving it, it's good for what it is.

Little one's and big one's a like. They sell food around the place, but what I liked was that they also provide plenty of places for you to take a picnic too, word of warning though, don't be eating any of it if you go in with the animals, the wardens will tell you to get out.

Thanks for the input all.

Been today with the Mrs. and Granddaughter.
Enjoyed it for what it is apart from spending ages looking for the invisible leopards and tigers!

Jimbo's review just about sums it up.

Drove past the entrance gate today and wondered what it was like. Somehow thought it would be a bit crap but will give it a go.
