Need to gauge how bad the flooding is in that area particularly the surrounding village towards York

Pics on local news TV showed it was bad round the breweries, but away from the river, they didn't show. Try searching Webcams there?

The bridge was closed to traffic yesterday and i believe they still need to survey it when the level drops before it will get re-opened.

Most places are OK to be honest. Only the River though York is giving concern as it expected to rise until around now and as stated Tadcaster has no bridge. That will take 10-20 mins to circumvent. All other villages are open just watch for flooding off the fields.

Cheers. The EA fitted pumps in our village last night. Not sure how effective they have been. Just didn't fancy going home tonight to find our house as an indoor swimming pool.
