Not sure. I live out near appleton roebuck. Haven't lived here long so not quite sure where runswick or Yarm is.

Im Just across the A64 from you.
Id go to Acaster Malbis airfield. Theres a saw mill who do large bags of logs.

Make sure you get hardwood, seasoned min two years old.

Soft wood/firs especially can spit if they are with sap. Also some will smoke more than others and blacken the glass.

Thats a pity council just chopped some trees down into hand size logs and left them at the side of the road earlier today.

I doubt they will still be there tomorrow morning.
