Yorke Arms Patley Bridge
Discussion
In a word, fantastic.
We had one of the suites in the new block in the outside courtyard and it was lovely, my only complaint being the pillows as I can't sleep on duck/goose down and like cheap and nasty polyester ones from Ikea.
Obviously the main reason you go is for the food and that is top notch, probably the nicest I've ever had.

We looked at going there for Christmas day, it's a bit pricey!
I thought everywhere was pricey fro Christmas Day? Isn't it the one day of the year (+ perhaps new years eve) when you are going to get shafted on price. Even pretty ropey pubs and restaurants around my way are charging £60 a head when normally it would be £15.soxboy said:

Granted, but £150 per head plus drinks!?Lanby said:

Granted, but £150 per head plus drinks!?Having said that, I'm not sure the Yorke Arms would be the best place to go for Christmas dinner, the food looks fantastic but perhaps not what I would call 'Christmas Fayre' - I'm not sure I would fancy jus on my turkey (I guess I'm just a boring old traditionalist who looks forward to sprouts, bread sauce and pigs in blankets).

Whilst that it is a hefty sum, it's not as much mark-up as more run of the mill places.

I agree though, Christmas dinner should be smoothered in gravy not jus.
