Hi guys,

I'm planning on going for a hoon near Skipton and the surrounding areas on Saturday at around 8am.
I haven't arranged a meeting-point with anyone but i'll announce one shortly.

For those that would like to come, please add your name to the list which is on page 4!

Ps) This will be my first time meeting many of you so be nice smile
Pss) Please ignore my chavvy stickers on the rear of my car if you do see me!

Thanks
Jon.

Ooh, that sounds a good plan! Do you have a route planned or are you going to Skipton anyway?

Haven't seen any vans out that way so far.

I was going to go out in the cold on the bike but a run out in the car for breakfast is looking quite tempting now smile

I like that road, when Mr 40mph Saab isn't around! Have not seen camera vans on that road before.

Not a huge police presence but they always keep an eye on Paceway, the straight over the tops after the Blubberhouse climb. Police car usually tucked over on left half way as you come from HG to Skip.

Never had any problems on the magic roads from Grassington working back to Pateley Bridge via Greenhow.

I'll be out mid morning in the fat old Porsche, just need to change a wheel and a few little tweeks.

Cheers for the replies smile I don't really have a particular route. It's just the wife is working without me for a change today so thought I'd have some alone time driving smile keep an eye out for me in my red 3 MPS. Although, it looks very much like a bog standard mazda 3 so I probably won't get seen hehe.

I'll be out from about 11am taking the baby for a sleep in the car. Black Porsche 944 with bits hanging off.

Plan to tackle Grassington to Pateley Bridge expressway.

So three people wanting a hook and nothing around! Well, I have been out on the bike and the car is sitting outside looking bored so I might a well wash it. At least it is small so doesn't take much washing smile

I'm hitting the A59 now for some fun.

Skipton to Blubberhouses, over the tops to Ilkley for an espresso.

We could have.... If my Porsche hadn't just detonated on the top of Blubberhouses smile

Think I may have just cooked a valve. Wife coming on rescue run, baby asleep on front seat and unaware of Pork doom!

Not having much luck with that Porch, at the moment, are you Ben? Granted stray rocks aren't the cars fault.

No, not really!

I'm having a full garage clearout at the moment. Selling the Range Rover, DS, 944 and wife's Golf TDi, replacing them with a Porsche 996 C4S as daily for me, E46 330i Touring for wife and something for me to rally, tbc.

Selling the RR will only be a plus after all that's gone wrong with it but won't you miss a big 4x4? Not saying the prospect of C4S isn't nice but climb up RR and squeeze in 911.

Saw an astra that had landed in the trees on the a59 (nearer to skipton) but the Armco didn't look damaged :/

Won't miss it really, 99% of my time in it is alone. May even just go boggo 996 C4 - AWD plus a set of winters will have me doing stig Blomqvist impressions up my lane.

Wife's proposed e46 touring well big enough for all the kiddy crap too.

My new year resolution is goodbye diesel and goodbye forced induction. I want large capacity lowish stress petrol from here on in, fk the economy.

I saw that too. Most weird. It is literally on its nose 8 feet in the air being held up by a tree. No idea how they managed to leap the 4 foot armco.
