I'm sure everyone that regularly attends the East Yorks meet or drops into the Triton for a Steak and Ale Pie and a beer will know by now that last week they suffered a quite serious fire in the lounge which has caused some pretty severe damage both from the fire itself in the lounge and from smoke damage in both the ballroom and the bar.
I've sent Paul and Anne our best wishes on behalf of all the car clubs that have used the venue over the last few years, but judging by how bad I've been told the damage is I doubt there will be an East Yorks meet this month.
