Evening all,
I'm looking for a good painter and detailer in the next couple of months. Ideally they would be able to do both jobs in the same place. Any recommendations ?

Hello biggrin

Feel free to get my details on my profile and get in touch.

I'm based in Knaresborough with my own unit and use a body shop who is also highly regarded on here (Chris Gregory auto refinishing) to do any work required before hand

Another vote for Chris Gregory in Knaresborough for bodywork and paint. He is used to working on TVR, Lamborghini, Ferrari and many other top end vehicles. True petrol head to boot. And he is just around he corner from Tom above, who seems to wave a duster quite effectively at a fair few top end cars wink

I've used Lee Cox at Station Road Bodyshop in Kippax. He mostly does work for the trade (including Ginetta Cars) and therefore, his prices are very keen and quality is very, very good. My GT3 is currently with them having rear seats fitted. I understand he partners with Tony Spears, when a customer needs both paintwork and detailing.

I outsource this. Been the picky so and so i am they always make sure the job is to the standard and then i do the finishing and refining to ensure its 100%.

This is done in a bodyshop 7 miles from me.

As is Glyn O'Donnell on here. Based just outside of Knaresborough and one of the most experienced detailers in the country. He used to train Zymol's best and did a stunning job on my 911 a few years back.

Cannot remember his PH name but have a look at elitedetailer.co.uk

Just an FYI - Anyone located IN and around Knaresborough (Swissvax HQ) can not actually state they are Swissvax approved, even if they have done the hugely priced training course...

This is simply to eliminate any unnecessary competition with having loads of approved detailers in the same area...

The list of actual approved guys is on the Swissvax site

I am not approved, mainly because I'd not pay a fortune to do it anyway, but I'm only 2 miles from them so would be silly smile
