Sunday 17 Feb

Starts at Ripon Auction Mart and uses the classic Western Yorkshire Forest complex including Wass, College Moor, Boltby, Deer Park, Roppa and Riccal Dale.

If anyone is stuck for something to do on a Sunday you may fancy taking a look.

More details and entry list etc on Ripon MSCs web site.

I had a fantastic day out with my Nephew, other than walking 8 miles carrying some rather heavy camera gear hehe

As planned, we spent the day in Roppa. The early morning fog and a poor choice of position by yours truly caused a few issues..

Had a character building rally myself. Was going quite well until SS4 when I lost angular velocity on a series of sweepers and ploughed straight on to some grass where we sank up to the belly pan and had to physically lift the car out.

I was as mad as a snake on ss5 so went like stink then tried it again on ss6 and fell off again but were pushed out.

I calmed down by the afternoon and apart from a spirited attempt at the 90s in College Moor was pretty sedate and managed to claw back up into the twenies and fifth in class.

Mint event. Enjoyed it despite our problems.

Thanks to all on here for the words of encouragement and ridicule on facebook etc.
