Race team in Malton?

I listened to a Midweek Motorsport pod cast today - broadcast last week.
They talked about a race team based in Malton building a LeMans spec car - can't remember if it was LMP1 or 2.

Anyone know anything?

Not aware of any but there were some electric LMP cars testing at Elvington earlier this week.

That was probably Drayson racing, based down in Gloucestershire but aiming for land speed record for an electric car I believe.

I knew Mark was the man to ask but I thought he might be a bit busy to ask directly or he knew something but couldn't say!

Yes, the electric car at Elvington will have been the Drayson team. There was a PH article a few days ago about them going for a world record at Elvington on the 24th June.

When I get the time I'll listen to the pod cast again and find the name they were talking about.

That is Perrinn, based in Skipton planning on building customer P1 chassis for 2014. They built the Pescarolo car last year, hopefully have more luck with this new one. Yorkshire is officially the new home of UK motorsport

Thanks Rob, that's the people MWM were talking about but I'm sure they said Malton - I suppose Skipton is near enough!
