Any Batley Brag this year ???
Discussion
Hi Chris (& Chris)
I wasn't planning to run it again this year to be honest.
At the end of the day I was running it to raise money for my Daughters charity Shine (100% for charity ....the lot...every single penny), but I got warned off on here a few times for reasons I will never understand or accept.
In addition, a couple of folks let me down with cash donations they had promised (not you of course!)and it cost me money personally. With this in mind, I thought I could save all of the kind and generous people that helped to run the event some time and effort and just make a personal donation to the charity anyway.
The pity is that the Shine kids that came along on the day absolutely loved the event (and the lunch we provide for them) and the smiles of their little faces after a run out in the cars was something to behold; I won’t forget that in a long time.
With this in mind, then one option is maybe just to have more of an informal doo for this year, and if folks want to help out with the a donation to the Shin e charity then all well and good.
Either way, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that helped out with support and donations for the charity as it was massively appreciated, and to the moaners, knockers and jobs worth's then all I would say is.....shame on you!
I now await a another telling off, a thread closure or a ban!
Cheers. Simon

What a shame such a good event!! Some people get drunk with power when given a little responsibility behind the keyboard, pathetic and just not called for.
But on a lighter note if you want to still have a car meet same place same time then I am up for that and will donate to the shine charity. Shame your not Chris Evans he seams to have no problems when doing charity work.
