Can anyone recommend a good valeter/detailer in the Harrogate/Ripon/Knaresborough area? I want to get my Dad's '80s 911 cleaned with a good wax/polish (not paint correction level though) and interior clean including the leather.

Any good experiences out there? And sympathetic to the older vehicle? - He's happy to take the car to a specific location, but it'll be me picking up the bill as it's a present.

Thanks.

You could try Glyn O'Donnell at Swisvax, next door to Gmund Cars in Knaresborough. He knows a thing or two about wax!

Tjob has done (and does) all my cars, too. Great lad, good work, good prices.

Achtung. Yep, he's got his own tree named after him there.

Glyn is without doubt one of the best in the country, certainly top five, if not three. But not cheap. Here is what he managed with just a bit of clay bar and polish on my Carrera. No buffing or correction.

I know Tom (Tjobs) and he is a good guy and up and coming, so will undoubtedly be less cost wise than Glyn. However, I have no first hand experience of his work so can only pass on what others have said.

Glyn detailed my Audi a few years back and did a great job, and has just done a mate's RS4 Avant - again, spot on.

+1

I've never seen any car so clean and shiny as mine was after he'd spent a day working his magic on it - awesome

Tom just gave my car a wee polishing, in fact he just finished it of today. Very happy with results and reasonably priced to.
