Have I missed something? When did they reduce the 40 limit to 30 from Lawnswood rbt to past Lawnswood Arms? Same question for 60 to 50 reduction all the way to Bramhope too? Not seen any "new speed limit in force" signs.
Been like that for at least 3 or 4 months now. The 30 runs from the pub to the Esso (the dual is still 40). No idea why it changed, can't recall seeing any accidents.
I think they did it to reduce the risk of all the cars coming in and out by the carwash/row of shops. I've seen a few really near misses of people accelerating from the lights towards the pub and nearly hitting cars jerking out.
Given the residential and businesses, 40 always seemed optimistic, especially just near the turning by the car wash. The signs are a little overgrown on your way in though...
The 50 past Golden Acre seems right, given the hotel and the car park, frustrating as it is...
