So who was out scraping the windscreen with the points card this morning? wink
The credit cards get enough wear and tear so I didn't risk one of those, typically for a Monday morning it's lovely and sunny.
Wonder if we're in for a harsh Winter....

Yep, frosty in York this morning too.

I called on the services of my trusty watering can, holding a generous compliment of Yorkshires finest warm water to disperse onto windows more befitting a water closet than something providing a means of transportation smile

And once cleared, out came the shades to fend off the low winter sunshine cool and off to work it was.

I was most impressed with myself. Found the scraper on my first go looking for it!

Not a bad frost though.

One of the few benefits of living in the town centre and having to pay for underground parking is on cold mornings finding the car warm and dry.

I utilised my gym membership card yesterday, returned from a weekend in the big smoke and my mates car which had been left in his works car park in town was iced over. Nice thick layer of frost. I need to get the bits to retro fit heated seats to my car soon.

Yup, had to break into the car with a watering can full of warm water (frameless windows). Dug out my scraper and winter kit just now. Gloves and boots going in the car at the weekend, need to get the tyres changed over. I for one, hope its long, cold and snowy biggrin

Found my scraper in the boot this evening, didn't look hard enough for it this morning. Didn't want to go inside for water in order that I didn't wake the dog/baby/wife so sat with the air-con on for 5 mins instead.

Got a sheet over the window tonight cool

Got the first weather warning ding on the way to work Sunday morning. Had a layer of frost when I set off home Monday evening at 7:30. It's definitely arrived..

I wondered why the taffic was so bad on Monday getting through Keighley and on to the bypass, poor form they didn't grit, sent them out on Tuesday night though even though there wasn't a frost!

Temps dropping off now up here in t'Dales.

Reckon another two weeks or so and it'll start getting properly chilly.

Can you let me in with my air rifle? lick

Embsay reservoir was looking particularly photogenic yesterday with the sun setting across it.

And then well into double figures today in Salubrious downtown Batley with a tropical warm breeze*. I could see my breath in the workshop, yet the warmth hit you as you walked outside and people were stood around chatting in jumpers or even T-shirts.

  • Probably through being downwind of all the takeaways wink

Yeah really weird! frost on the cars at 8pm last night then 11c today...

As the old saying goes if you don't like the weather in Britain just wait a few hours!
