Just had a call from the mother in law, surge waters around the centre near Rawlins Way/Boulevard area. Asda, Hessle Road is closing to customers.

Yup it's pretty bad. Victoria Dock evacuated, few coastal areas around Hull have got some localised flooding.
A63 into Hull closed...

There's something about a building has collapsed too, I don't know any more than that though.

The building collapse was a light industrial unit & when the opened the roller shutter door, the wall came down, no injuries.

My local The Ferry Boat was flooded by 9pm last night & Old Goole affected too.

Seems high tide this morning might not be as bad as feared.

Castle street has a upgrade due in the next few years.First it was going to be a tunnel, not cost effective according to one of the engineers who designed the new road I spoke to.

So instead a underpass will be build. With this area being high flood risk I'm thinking a rethink about the whole project.
