Bugger:

So, managed to shear the bleed nipple while stripping down the 306 6' beam.

Does anyone know of a place/person that will extract it for me? I don't want to start making a hash of it myself making the job harder for someone else.

Edit:

Also, I need somewhere that has a hydraulic press to press new trailing arm shafts in for me......any takers?

Can't help on the press, but on the first, try Rob Griffiths (RG Race Engineering) in Otley. http://www.rgraceengineering.com/

Very nice guy, reasonable rates and well rated. He will probably know who has a suitable press as well.

Sort of thing that Lockside Engineering in Castleford might be able to sort. I`ve got some of those L handed thread extractors if you`d like a go, but I understand the fear!

Well......it's buggered. Went and bought a set of screw extractors and.......it's just buggered now.

So off to find a caliper with a !FREE! bleed nipple.

Why do I keep buying old French cars?

Thanks for the replies though.

nooooo..... its never buggered with just a seized nipple. But it does sounds like you've made it more difficult to remove. Did you apply some heat? Imagine it was off some exotic Italian job and replacements were thousands. It'd come out then! If you can't get a replacement, I'll get it out for you.

Thanks for the offer 'Wrench' but I managed to pick up another axle which came with a set of calipers so I was able to make 1 good set out of the 2.

Still on the look out for someone with a press. Will try find somewhere tmorrow on my day off.
