What did I see?

About 8.40 this morning traffic was stopped on the Rodley roundabout to allow 2 green FF range rovers and about 6 police motor bikes to go the wrong way round the roundabout heading from Pudsey to Horsforth.

Anyone any idea what it was. My first thoughts were something to do with the Tour, and based simply on the colour of the cars something to do with the royal family being at Harewood for the start. However this is still days away so can't imagine it is anything to do with that.

It was the close protection recce ahead of Prince William, Kate & George arriving later today and coming to Harrogate.

Strangely, this evening at the A58 / A62 roundabout by the Lexus garage in Leeds, I saw a processions of what must have been around 50 police motorcycles, presumably on their way to a central point for the TDF......

They came past work at Millshaw at around half 4ish too

Spotted today about 11am on A64 eastbound passing the Buckles Inn near York.

At least 4 police cars and 30 bikes escorting an anonymous looking grey Audi

There has been reports before of Harry and Charles in a grey Audi.

Not sure sure it remains particularly anonymous with that many police cars being with it.
