Pretty much all of it was up for sale recently & it was a concern that it might turn into a huge industrial estate or be a nice spot for hundreds of houses. It seems it might have new lease of life & maybe it would suit some motoring events as well.

The guy who bought it was on Look North the other day suggesting it could become Leeds' second major airport! As LBA is too busy...

Lets hope it is still used for something. I remember flying RAF Bulldogs from there when I was in the Air Cadets 16+ years ago.

I was in Air cadets there around 19 yrs ago. Good memories.

Chris is a decent chap, loves his planes and helicopters, so I'm hopeful that good things are in the pipeline.
