Good watchmaker Leeds/Harrogate for vintage Breitling
Discussion
[I have posted in the watch forum but thought it may get more visibility here]
I recently acquired a Breitling Navitimer 806 (late 1960's) and I would like to find someone who can do a full service and glass polish/replacement for me.
I am based in Leeds and know there are a number of watchmakers in Harrogate, but I'd prefer to go to someone that is recommended and a known quantity. I am also open to sending the watch to a specialist if required.
I'd be very grateful of any recommendations of good watchmakers in Yorkshire. I heard there was a very good guy in Tadcaster(???) who regularly attends the big Wetherby racecourse antiques fair, but these dont start for another few weeks yet.
Thanks in advance for any help

Probably not what you're looking for, but i just take my Longines into Goldsmiths in the White Rose Centre and they send it off to the manufacturer, comes back serviced, new battery and polished up.I am based in Leeds and know there are a number of watchmakers in Harrogate, but I'd prefer to go to someone that is recommended and a known quantity. only downside is it can take a few weeks to turn around.
I send my watches to http://www.genesiswatchmaking.co.uk/index.html. He was recommended on TZ forum. His communication is first class and I would not hesitate to use them again both for vintage and modern watch repairs/servicing.
Package the watch carefully and send via post office Recorded and insured (2,500 I believe) for next day delivery.
Alternatively, join a couple of the Breitling forums and ask the collectors on their for recommendations.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll give them a shout and enquire if they do vintage Breitlings because there's nothing listed on the website for Breitling. Gassing Station | Yorkshire | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
