Explosions in Leeds

Just heard (and felt a HUGE) explosion in Leeds 2150hrs. Followed shortly by another.

Anyone else heard this or know what is was?

Same here in North Wakefield. I'm guessing scrambled jetfighters to intercept the trolling Russian Bear. Last time I heard anything like that, Hickson and Welsh chemicals had just exploded.

CityJet Avro RJ not responding to ATC, escorted by Typhoons out over North Sea while contact re-established then landed Newcastle as normal :

2x Typhoon's scrambled from Coningsby, ZJ911 "Y2M41" and ZJ912 "Y2M42". Also Voyager Tanker ZZ333 "V9U64" scrambled from Brize Norton for air-to-air refuelling over North Sea afterwards before all returned to base.
