This is a st picture but



I was at work in Beeston and saw what looked like an apache attack copter doing laps over the town centre. Did anyone else see it?

it doesnt look like its Longbow spec.

maybe its a lynx ?

They were Apaches and the Evening Yorkshire post had plenty of pictures in the print edition from social media buzz.

Have seen them a few times over leeds city centre. They do a few a laps and a landing at the hospital.

My local soundtrack round here (Thirsk) if not as intrusive as the Chinook which flew over me yesterday. But for real noise , nothing in my years of living here was as noisy as the Saab Gripens which were exercising from Leeming recently. Ludicrous noise.

There was two of them flew over last year heading north. Maybe a training exercise or something.

The loudest jet I have heard taking off is a B1-B at full afterburner.

Ahhh.. I think some passed by Leeds-Bradford as well. I didn't recognise them.

Unfortunately the last one was grounded last year but the noise from the Vulcan Bombers based at RAF Finningley/Doncaster Airport was awesome.
