Always run a higher end car that I have used specialists before but now find myself with a cheap shed (and possibly soon a second one) and wanted to use a cheap and cheerful backstreet garage for any maintenance work. Any recommendations around the Leeds area for a decent mechanic? Old Merc and probably something yank but basic (Mustang/Camaro/Challenger sort of barge).

Not in Leeds but depends how close to Castleford you are;

They’ll be able to look after your cars no problem.

For Merc I would use SES (formerly Scotts) in Bramley, is very experienced chap and knows the older models very well also:

Andy Turner. Prob not the absolute cheapest but he's independent, decent value and a nice chap. Also an ex stock car racer and runs a V8 Chevy truck so you'd be in good hands..

Thanks for sharing that link, Tom. I'm going to take the Giulia on a track day or two next year (may as well go somewhere where I can enjoy dynamic mode without risking my licence!). I want to make sure it's got the right pads and brake fluid as a minimum so I'll give these chaps a go after Xmas.
