My husband was involved in a collision on the A64 dual carriageway heading from York to Leeds on Saturday the 11th of April at approximately 6:50pm. The collision happened just before the Bilbrough Top Services.

A white BMW 1 Series in the right lane intentionally rammed into the right/driver's side of my husband's black Audi A4 which was in the left lane, both going 70mph. The BMW spun and crashed into the central reservation before taking off again.

My husband, who thankfully wasn't seriously hurt and maintained control of his car, chased the BMW into Bilbrough Top Services where the police apprehended the BMW driver who turned out to be drunk.

If anyone was on the A64 or at Bilbrough Top Services at the time and saw the white BMW driving erratically or witnessed the crash, please reach out.

Insurers are involved and we've asked them to contact National Highways to see if the CCTV footage of that area can be pulled but I'd be grateful to hear from anyone who was on the A64 or at Bilbrough Top Services at the time and might have witnessed the whole ordeal.

Thank you!
