I've now done 25k miles in my IS220d, and they are a really nice alternative to the A4, BMW or C Class. Really smooth and very well appointed (mines a SE spec and comes with full leather, heated and cooled front seats and a cracking sound system).
Only things that have been slightly anoying is the key-less entry which re-locks after 30 secs, and has on one occasion locked the keys in the car!, and the gearbox can be quite notchy until warm. Also, mines dark blue which looks great when polished, but does seam to loose it's shine quicker than i would have liked! The boot isn't huge though, and is certaily smaller than the A4 i had before, but thats the price you pay for a RWD set-up.
They handle quite well, but with the oil-burner, mine does understeer into corners if i'm pushing it, but it's generally a really nice drive
