This tt overtook me today in a built-up, reduced speed limit area, then overtook another car on an unbroken white line, proceeded to drive pretty normally before caning along a dual carriageway, then swerving all over the road as the "driver" fiddled with a mobile phone in his/her hand.

If only I'd been in the jam sandwich at the time.

I know this guy, not well, but he is a friend of a friend.

I've seen his car, but never actually seen him driving it.

I pressume this was in the Hull area??

Simon

P.S. Are you in Humberside Police??

To answer your question first, yes, sort of.

I am sure he is a perfectly upstanding citizen in all other respects but it has to be said, whoever was driving was taking liberties with other people's safety not to mention committing several offences.

Is the reg in the thread title the actual reg of the vehicle in question or have you altered it slightly?

I believe it is the actual reg, although I am not 100% sure.

If it is the actual reg number then it strikes me as a little unfair to post it on an open forum....

If it isn't then I'll get me coat! biggrin

I was thinking the same thing yes

If only all you do is asterisk one digit ... you just never know, he could have just found out his kid had been rushed to hospital ... probably not I grant you, but it's always possible.

I see your point, and it is indeed a fair one.

I know he wasn't rushing to hospital as he turned off into a local village and the nearest hospital is 20 miles away, so my conscience is intact.

I did wonder, do guys in the job ever actually call them "jam sandwiches" ... especially as they seem to be more akin to batenburgs these day biggrin

I'm sorry but I really cannot condone the publishing of an entire registration number on an open forum, made even worse because in this instance it's done alongside further, specific vehicle details. The guy may well have been driving like an idiot but we only have your word for it.

I genuinely hope you are NOT a member of the Police Force because no matter what your rank/division/area/cloud you really should know better. nono

I'm just pondering on why someone should name themselves after an irritating, vomit inducing, carcenogenic herbicide dangerous enough to be banned in Denmark......

Best of all they are LPG powered too! Just in case they weren't slow enough already hehe They do have some rather tasty pursuit stuff though, Subaru Stis etc.
