Well the sun was out and the roads dry

Was it DIY?
Did you burn up the roads?
Or was it work?

I had to go into work but it was a good day, no distractions from the Mon- Fri crowd and got lots done.
Im going home soon to strip some wallpaper!

How about you then? smile

Not a lot

Watched a bit of the F1, then flicked to ITV4 to watch WRCs Greatest Drivers...it was an extremely rare occasion that I actually sat down and watched TV hehe

Tried to persuade the old man to let me borrow his 5 series to do the Oulton Park drift course next year rofl

I'm currently fishing my tools out of an oil well after they got stuck 16000ft down the well. Long and tiring, we started 2 days ago and should be finished by the morning I hope.

Got up in what seemed the middle of the nightsleep to watch F1. Later on took the gf outdriving in the westy for a final blat to a country pub for Sunday lunch. Then gave it a good clean up ready to hibernate in the garage for the next 6 months.

Still up at 5am I thought "ooh, I'll stop up and watch the first few laps of the F1". 7:30am and the adrenaline was still circulating...

Asleep at 8:30ish, up at 3. Still feeling rather... well, knackered really!

Worth it though! thumbup

Went to bed at about 1.45am, dossed on the sofa in readiness for the alarm going off at 4.30am for the GP. Watched the GP (thrilling), then went back to bed for a while, got up at 3pm feeling rough as a badger's arse with manflu, set fire to the kitchen making a full english (fried bread got a bit carried away) and am now sitting in my Lay-Z-Boy feeling sorry for myself frown

Watched Luke in his footy match this morning (they won 4-1), had lunch whilst watching the grand prix, then took the old girl out (the carhehe), took some final measurements on the house job I'm doing at the mo and now just about to start doing some more drawing.

Set off in the Maser for a shopping trip to Manchester. M62... 70mph....Engine rev's dipped.. hmmm... Engine rev's dipped again... Hmmm. Battery Light on... Volts down to 10... Powersteering failed.... Argh... Wrestled with the fat tyres onto the showcase slip road. Alternator belt had come off due to wobbly cog /pulley on bottom of engine (seems it lost a few allen bolts whilst wiggling away!). Too risky refit fan belt to drive with one allen bolt in the pulley (prob shear off) so RAC jobby with full lift truck. Got a lift all the way home to Garforth (with my embarrasing immobile Maserati on display on the back), jumped in the Vauxhall Corsa and set off again!

Luckily, It would seem I wasn't spotted so no one will ever know... erm... oops.

Not the best of days... but I can laugh at it smile

Up @ 0700 & off to work- finish @ 1400 to come home to grouting- oh the joys of DIY.
Just finished applying sealer 10 mins ago to the floor, ready to refit the wc & basin tomorrow & it stinks.... The sealer not the wc wink

Why did it have to be sooo nice out today?
