Visit to Motor Museum ( Skopos) 17th Feb at 10:00
Discussion
If there is enough interst i am arranging a visit to the Yorkshire Motor Museum ( Skopos) on 17th Feb at 10 and all interested PH folk and well behaved kids are welcome to join us....the Museum is a non-profit trust and parking is free and entrance is free but you are asked to make a donation to help with its upkeep...the address is
Yorkshire Motor Museum ( was Skopos)
Alexandra Rd
Batley
WF17 6JA
The museum ( and all museums these days) need your suport and i can recommend it to all those interested in automobiles...it's not large but there are a nice selection of veterans and old motor bikes as well as classic cars and some oddities and it is well worth a visit i assure you. I will donate a cup of coffee and current bun to all who join us and we hope to go on for breakfast at Zuccinis( just down the road) afterward, perhaps about 11:30, if you would like to...this will be for your own account but i will provide some details of the menu and prices soon...this is a social occasion and provides an oportunity for you to meet fellow enthusiasts at a great venue and if you feel the wife would be bored there is Red Brick Mill the furniture emporium just down the road ( Ooops that sounds sexist and i appologise to all the lady motoring enthusiasts! As an aside there are two Diablo lady owners in the Lamborghini Club of UK who are sick and tired of men saying "so your boyfriend lets you drive his car!"
......i may need a helper on the day so if anybody would offer his or her services i would be gratefull

Yes i know there is a clash but for a number of reasons that is the best day....i'm sorry for those who would have liked to join us but if it is successful i will consider arranging another one some time in the future....there may be some PH's whose cars will still be in winter hibernation esp the classic car owners, and this sort of event may suit them while the weather is still cold and miserable. Please mention the event to friends who may wish to join us, but i need them to "book" so i have an idea of numbers.
well, i was hoping for a bigger response but i have invited a few interested friends and i think we will be about 12 or so with still a few weeks to go, and in thanks to the folk who have put their name down, i think we should go ahead.....i am getting a menu from Zuccinis( have asked already) and will post some details and prices....looking forward to meeting u all

You would have normally had a bigger response but as has been mentioned ... about 15 people that would have nearly certainly come are already doing a run that day which has been planned for a while I'm afraid.
Unfortunatly that is the only sunday i have free in the near future as i am working 7 days a week at the moment...but as i have said i may arrange it again in the future and hope i will see you thenAfter Eight said:

I have a few other friends who would also like to vome down and have a look around.
Hope you don't mind some more "outsiders" coming along
They are more than welcome and thank you for your efforts...think we are about 20 people now and i am trying to negotiate a discount for us at the breakfast/brunch venue....I had been thinking about arranging a visit to the museum and decided to grab the opportunity when you first started the thread re the museum on PH....i only noticed afterwards that i hi-jacked your posting of arranging a visit ( i just scanned down to the last post) but please be aware it was unintentional and i was going to appologise when i met you....SHope you don't mind some more "outsiders" coming along
So next Sunday on Braddy road at the Motor museum?
I'll make one in with the Family if that's ok?
I think it'll either only be the 3 of us in the Rover but I'll try bring the rest of the Family along.
Will you need exact numbers?
Been meaning to have a look around for ages but you don't look on your doorstep

No, not exact numbers, so all interested enthusiasts are welcome and your "rest of family" too......at a rough count i think we are about 20 which is great...I look forward to Sunday Morning and will post all details later tonight.I'll make one in with the Family if that's ok?
