Tripod camera 1079

Saw a tripod camera near the esso garage/Barnby Moor on the 1079 late this aft, had a silver people carrier with the 'think' logo on the doors parked in the field next to it. Think everyone saw it though caused a big tailback. Have seen a tripod at Bishop Burton as well so be vigilant.

Went through there myself today.

Don't know why they bother. Hull road is like the blinkin 'slow race' these days. Lucky if you can do more than 40.

It's years overdue for a dual carriageway, and all the extra road 'furniture' and restrictions just lead to frustrated drivers doing daft things. (No excuse for that of course).

I just wish people would get a move on, and at least drive at the permitted speed, overtaking where it is safe to do so.

Ribbon development is the main culprit for messing up this and many other perfectly good 'through roads'.
Someone is allowed to build a couple of bungalows, and next thing you've got a 40 limit and a plethora of signs telling you what you should know anyway, as a qualified driver.

I've been driving up and down the A1079 for thirty odd years, and during that time it has been turned into a total mess.

Saw that too, but at the last minute. Ended up going past at 53 (50 limit) so should be OK. Incidently, the camera caused huge traffic delays on the opposite side of the road.

It is a silver X-Trail, often used in and around Hull area.
Usually two up in the car.

I also read that if a mini-gatso is un-manned that they can only ticket you from behind, not sure on the exact meaning of manned/un-manned, ie. someone standing next to it or someone sat in a toasty car a few metres away.

Thank gawd I'm an old bloke now, and the likelihood of being done by a speedcam pretty low ( at least when on business ).

Driving is just a blinkin chore nowadays, and every possible obstacle put in the way of enjoyment and freedom to exercise one's common sense.

Theiving robbing lazy monkeys - I got done by one for doing 34 - with a sign about 2"x2" on the back doors - At least the proper cops earn the fine and dont spend all day drinking tea!
