Well, after a cracking bankholiday and alot of meandering around them moors ive decided its about time we got together and had another jaunt across the moors. NEW ROUTE TOO!

Previous experience dictates that the best day to have this type of thing is on a Sunday...so thats when it shall be... i can confirm it will be a Sunday in June however i shall not be able to confirm the date on the forum(pm for confirmation of date and general location). A generic email shall follow to all those who are able to confirm their attendance. The run out will also be early morning(starting about 7am), the aim being to get out and about and end up in a cafe by about 9am. Details are sketchy at the moment and a firm route has yet to be decided upon (however i do have a good idea and the only reason there is no firm route yet is because we're spoilt for choice!). Due to the popularity of these runs im putting a cap on this at 20 cars and at the organisers say so this is subject to change (this is purely a logistics thing not a popularity thing).

So in summary...

PM for date and rough location details so you can decide on your interest.(be patient if i dont respond instantly, i will get back to you)
If you are not been part of the usual Yorkshire Runout gang i would prefer that you get someone who has been on a run before to vouch for you....or be sociable and come to the pub meet next week and say hi!
While there is no restriction on cars i ask that you use your own judgement on the suitability of your vehicle for such a run out...(be a shame to get up so early and not make the most of the empty roads!)...that means no transit vans unless your initials are DH (or GS on the forum!);)

Route will be circa 100 miles with usual logistical matters taken care of, (petrol, toilet breaks, chance to get out and chat, stretch legs and take photo's etc).

As usual this is only an expression of interest thread, once details are confirmed a thread will be started for you all and the list of interested will be transferred to the "official thread" as these things get a little long winded after a couple of weeks.

Oh and it is my intention to ensure that the roads would be suitable for all sorts of cars so dont worry if you have something exotic, ill try my best to ensure its not too bumpy for y'all!wink

I seem to remember this stop on the last one being in the middle of nowhere and lasting about 60 seconds?

No I meant the dawn run. Didn't realise it was a different thing. Not been on any other runs apart from that one. Still interested though.

not a problem mate, like i say, very different beasts but both are very good fun! this is much more of an open social event with a chance to enjoy the scenery, roads and company...with the roads im looking at there is plenty of chance to stretch the 355's legs though, both in terms of revs and lateral grip!

Sounds good to me. Plus I suppose it means my tyres will last longer and not have to explain the £100+ fuel bill for a mornings drive!

Don't worry Jonty ... like I said, all your needs have been taken into consideration for the next Dawn Run, even the bloody Humber Bridge biggrin

I'll be interested Mark but it may fall foul of next DR and Le Mans. Vicki is understanding ... to a point!

Cheers Mark, but chances are I will on the other side of the globe again ... or have only just got back after 8 days away! Then with going to Le Mans on 11th, I think discretion may be the better part of valour yes

But then as soon as it was a yellow 355 spider, it was a mans car again and capable of taking on the Marines, Sean Connery and the FBI!
