Morning all!

I'm looking for an independant garage in the Leeds area that can service and fix the Tuscan.

I was using one although he's totally snowed under for months!

If you have any recommendations I'd be really grateful! smile

Cheers
Rich

Track v Road in Clitheroe have a massively good reputation and they are good solid, well known and respected guys in the TVR network.

I believe at least one of them, Richard at a guess will be at the film night tonight.

Google their website to get an idea.

I guess Andy is a bit busy then fella? biggrin

The only place I can and indeed will recommend in the area is Track V Road at Clitheroe as Al has already said.

I know its a drive out, but its worth it for the level of service that you receive and thats before I mention the buckets of coffee they offer you smile

AAD at Doncaster have just done a service and clutch on mine. I'll be going back. Owner Richard has a Cerb himself.

laugh Aye! Just really busy I think!

So Road vs Track, AAD or RT Racing?

Cheers fellas! I'll start making some calls! Also - clutch on a Tuscan was approx £1000 for a TVR Dealer - any thoughts on cost for an independent?

Ta! thumbup

SSCC are a good bet in Boroughbridge near Whetherby/York

Heard good reports, and have guys working there who have dealt with TVR'S for at least 15 years.

They have a web site, and i think the waiting time for servicing etc is approx 2 weeks.

Ask for John or Steve

Jag - Andy's good, although he's been snowed under for the last two months, and doesn't see it letting up.

Also - good call on the one nr York, I'll try SSCC as it's probably the closest! thumbup

It needs lots of little fiddly bits doing so I'd like to send it to someone who knows the fiddly buggers that TVR's can be! biggrin

Nice one fellas!

I've just checked the prices of some of the 'Indeoendant' TVR places.

They're the same as normal TVR garages when they were still in business! Shocking!

I've located a guy near me who seems pretty competent. smile

Cheers all thumbup

I had a nice chat with John when I was in the market for one and needed a bit of advice. He knows his stuff - and I was more than a bit tempted to find a few more grand and buy the 4.5 Cerb lightweight which was in their showroom. Didn't though - and no regrets...

Just had a full 12000 mile service done, and new Ht leads,1000 amp links and a few other things came to £ 770.00.I guess it's not over cheap but less than the main dealer and they really have helped me out in the past when my TVR's have proved to be, eerm tempremental shall we say!

Aha - this is interesting.

Had a quote from Harrogate Horseless Carridges for £769 inc vat for the supply and fit of a clutch on the Tuscan.

Pretty cheap for the ex main dealer!

That is also interesting and sounds like the've not quoted to relace all the parts such as slave cylinder etc??? Sadly, I'm sure the parts will be more than that..

That's what I thought actually, however I checked twice, and it had a slave cylinder last year!

I'll keep you posted!
