Bradford/Drighlington Parish Fun Day request
Discussion
Vette_1978 and myself headed up to the Railway for a pint last night after the American Cruise for a swift pint of Black Sheep (always!)
As is the norm, Phils car attracted the attention of a couple of the locals one of which is a complete car nut, but never got so close to anything like Phils. Naturally we all got talking about cars and the couple mentioned that they had seen some sports and supercars parked at the Railway every now and then (wonder who that could be :whistles
which we revealed was us
The lady (Janet) was asking if any of you guys would be interested in attending a Parish Fun day just down the road from the Railway and asked me to forward this information:
"Hi Scott,
I promised you information about the FUNDAY the Parish Council are holding on the moor - the date is Saturday 19th July from 12 - 5pm. There are lots of stalls and attractions inc Viking Enactment, Tug of War, Dog Show, Royal Marines, Climbing wall, beer tent, BBQ the list goes on......
If you and your group are interested then we would be more than happy for some of you to come on the day. The scenario would be pretty much as I explained last night - talking to people about the cars, maybe having their photgraph taken - nothing too heavy.
If you could let me know if there is any interest that would be appreciated.
Nice meeting and chatting to you and Phil - hope to hear from you soon
Janet"
If anyone is interested please let me know and I can forward the details and sort it out
Might be able to talk her into offering free grub and booze for those attending

im in headingley but my parents live down the road in tong village, i play cricket every tues and sunday in tong too, so more often than not im within shouting distance from the railway pub.
with regards to fun in the sun, dont get too misty eyed yet, its not "official" yet and when i do find out i will be organising a good bye/birthday session in some capacity in september...anyway ive got the whole summer and about 3 more runs planned before i go anywhere.

Phil (vette) and myself amongst a few others should be doing the Britcar event from Friday til sunday, so it could be a good oppertunity to get bladdered and go surfing
