VW Specialist

Hi,

Anyone know a reputable VW specialist in Doncaster? My run-around has been playing up for a while now; cutting out and having no cold idle what so ever so could do with it looking at.

I need someone who knows what he/she is doing when it comes to VW's and polos in particular.

Any suggestions?

Not in Donny, but in Leeds you have Herbie Hospital who specialise in olrder stuff

You have Volksworks and Fantastic VW all said to have a good reputation, but I cannot testify personally

sounds to me like a throttle body problem maybe stepper motor

I visited Moto Grafix bikes recently and stumbled upon Moto Technik a few doors down. They are a German car specialist on Brunel Rd behind The Range off the A638, York Rd and the phone number is 01302 341050.

Also there is A.V.G Technic on the Great North Rd, Woodlands who have over 25 years experience on VW's. Phone number is 01302 727631.

Theres also IVC on Pontefract road, Ive had them recommended to me a few times, dont have any first hand experience though

Although I rung them up a bit back to get a price on coilover fitting, and the guy asked what coilovers were, which doesnt fill me with confidence!

Avoid IVC.

I took my car there as I wanted a nice simple job doing. I wanted them to take the bumper and grill off (Audi S3) and swap the grill badge for a black one that I had previously had painted. I specifically told them I wanted to pay for whatever labour it took to do it so that there was no chance of damaging the grill. They guy immediately went outside and tried to lever it off with a screwdriver! The car was only registered 2 hours earlier, I couldn't believe it!

Safe to say I'll never go there again.

It's more diag than anything else as i can work a spanner but i'm not really sure what could be causing the problem.
