Water... Should I go on a meter?

been having a (nother) think about saving a few quid....

one way is for me to have a water meter fitted....

i've had a search about on t'internet, and 'they' reckon i can save roughtly £200 a year (current bill is just over £600 p/a by having one fitted.....

they don't seem to want to tell me if that includes the standing charges and/or drainage costs etc....

has anyone had a meter fitted and found out it costs more than a non-metered supply?

is there a 'trial' period?

any help appreciated!

My parents (retired couple) and MIL (lives alone) both went on a water meter recently and have halved their water bills.

If you have a family though it's not so good.

i pay around £360 a year on meter and washers on every day , dishwasher every other so think it would be better on meter

We moved to a new house with a meter eighteen months ago. There are only two of us, but i fill a 400ltr tank in my van nearly every day and the bills have gone down by over 50%

It's the only bill that comes through the door, which doesn't feel like a rip off.

water useage normal, apart from my obsession with having clean cars.....

Meter.

Me and my boy...3 bed detached...60 quid last quarter.
He has power shower every day...me every month whether needed or not.
