Short notice I know but does anyone else doing the rides tomorrow fancy convoying down together? Aiming to be at the pub for 10:30, so setting off from Halifax around 9:00 and perhaps meet up on route?

Hi Nick,

Which way are you going ?

I intended to top up with Vpower at Glews (just of the M62 J36) then through the back of Goole, Eastoft, Crowle, Gunness into Susworth. It should take about 45mins from Glews so could meet you about 9:45 if you like.

I’ve done that run before, nice roads, but they do attract bikers and the odd speed camera.

Cheers,

Simon.

Can I get in on the action? Will try and meet you at the Shell garage for 9.45am. The one at J36? Could do with tanking up beforehand too.

Can someone PM me their mobile number just in case please?

+1

09:45 @ Shell station, is it towards Goole off J36 or the other way?

Ooh, sounds like a proper convoy now smile.

Jonty/Martin - I'll PM you both my mobile. If you could PM me yours as well, I'll pick them up when I get home (still at work!) and we'll make sure we're all together before setting off to Susworth.

Fingers crossed for some sunshine (or at least not bucketing it down again!).

Gents, YHM

Glews is away from Goole, if your coming from Leeds you can see the Shell sign from the slip off the M62.

See you in the morning,

Simon.

Best Route to the Jenny Wren Inn and enable you to fill up on the way.
Come off at Junction 3 of the M180 and continue on the short stretch of motorway to the end, where you will come to a roundabout, take the fourth exit off the roundabout past Tesco and B&Q, come to another roundabout, take the fourth exit onto Scotter Road, continue on this straight road for approximate 2-3 miles, where you will come to another roundabout (SHELL GARAGE LOCATED ON THE LEFT, FILL UP HERE AS IT’S THE CLOSET PETROL STATION AND ASDA IS ON THE RIGHT TO FILL UP).
Continue straight over the roundabout on Scotter Road South, past the Mallard Pub on the right and continue on this straight road, past South Park Industrial, over the motorway via duct , continue straight for 5 miles over a tee junction (40 mph limit possible speed trap area), continue along the same straight road into Scotter (30 mph limit), at the tee junction turn right into Scotter village, come to a intersection junction opposite on the right is the Gamekeeper Pub, turn right past the pub, onto High Street Road, continue on this road past housing and continue on this road back out of Scotter village to Susworth village (sign posted) for 5 miles, come into Susworth Village and the Jenny Wren Inn is on the right, park in the main carpark.

PLEASE NOTE IF YOU TAKE THE ALTERNATIVE ROUTE FROM ABOVE THE B ROAD ALONG THE TRENT RIVER FROM BIRMINGHAM VILLAGE TO SUSWORTH VILLAGE IS A LITTLE BUMPY SO TAKE CARE. MY CAR IS LOW AND IS OK AT NO MORE THEN 50 MPH. THERE IS ONE BAD DIP NEXT TO A WHITE HOUSE APPROXIMATE 1/2 MILE FROM SUSWORTH. THIS ROUTE WILL NOT BE USED FROM DREAM RIDES!!!

The dream ride route for rides is on the A159 which is a execellent road. Much much better theN last year. Also Shell V-power is approximate 8 miles from the pub if need to fill up later in the day and the shell and asada garage is cheapest in the area !!!

See how Vicki is fixed, I was planning on bringing Max down, but then remembered, I can't fit his buggy in the car. And he's heavy!
