I've just started going to a monthly Lotus meet up at Buckles Inn on the A64 (http://tinyurl.com/5b7mm7). However, at the meeting they mentioned the pub was on it's last legs so we need to find another suitable venue. I was wondering if anyone knew of anywhere the fit the criteria:

1. Near Leeds / York
2. Must be able to hold around 90 cars (the meet last week had 80 cars)
3. Must have a function room

bonus points if they do food too

Does anyone know of anything that might be suitable?

I don't know if they would go for it, but have you tried Squires at Sherburn?

Ahh they might do - I think they hold a Japanese car night there, so may not mind us 4 wheelers visiting them. Thanks smile

Don't think Chequers would manage this lot

The Windmill at Dunnington (outskirts of York on the A1079 towards Hull, just off Grimston Bar roundabout) has a function room and a decent car park around the side.

We went through this too.

Tried loads and test drove a few.

The Fox and Hounds was ok but lacked quality food and they had a pub quiz which clashed with our noise. They wanted silence whilst they asked the questionwink

The sun inn at Colton is a great place but too foody - not enough standing room!

We went for the chequers and accepted that we would have to park in the village.
One day they will extend the CP when the probate sorts out who owns the field!

Good luck in finding the pub that fits the criteria - it isnt easy!
