Goodwood has a breakfast meet, as does the Ace Café. There hasn’t been anything similar up North, until now.

Sunday October 19th sees the inaugural Yorkshire Big Breakfast Meet to be held at Specialist Cars of Malton, meeting at 9am. It is anticipated different groups (Porsche Club GB, Pistonheads, TIPEC etc) will organise runs out ending up at Malton so keep an eye on the forums.

Malton is on the edge of some of the best driving roads in the North, and on the A64 (links with the A1 / M1) for anyone needing to make a quick exit home afterwards.

A complimentary breakfast awaits those attending. There is ample free parking, a chance to catch up with old friends and make new ones plus see some exotic machinery including those at the venue, Specialist Cars of Malton.

We are wanting to make this a regular event for the North so hope as many as possible can make it.

I will just make sure my flight gets me back home on the Saturday. An early start might well be in order I think, be a shame to miss the opportunity smile

If you fancy a slight detour. Carry on from the 18 to the M62/A63. Make your way to Beverley then follow signs to Malton. You're on one of, if not the, best (and fast too) road in the whole of East Yorkshire. The right turn after Wetwang, over Fimber mini roundabout and up hill and down into North Grimston is spectacular whatever you're riding/driving.

I suspect that you are still in bed the time of Sunday mornings that me and Stu plus a few comrades in arms use those roads hehe

They are regular Dawn Raid roads as are the ones North of Malton to Pickering, Helmsley and beyond.

The Fridaythorpe cafe near Fimber is one of our breakfast stops.
