Got caught up in the tailbacks, saw a class 1 jackknifed from across the fields. Anyone know any more details?

I dont, but I was waiting in the traffic (about 3:30pm), just past the Goole sliproad, for over an hour until we were turned around and sent the wrong way back up the on-ramp. I just decided to go back to Beverley rather than join the gravy train to get to Sheffield. Not sure on the details but on the highways site last night it was still saying disruption until 11pm!! In the first 20 mins alone of waiting I saw 1 or 2 fire engines, half a dozen ambulances and god knows how many police cars of various sorts heading up the hard shoulder.

Very strange that there isnt anything in the news yet?

Hope all involved are safe, but I suspect there will have been some serious casualties.

The misses past it shortly after it happend. She says 3 trucks and a red car were involved, she did not think the driver of the car would have survived as it had been nearly crushed flat.

Two lorries, one car. The car somehow managed to cross from the east bound to the west bound carriageway, hit the two artics and ended up on it's side.

Driver in hospital serious but comfortable, one of the lorry drivers has minor knee and elbow injuries.

Goole Times, are you my new neighbour? biggrin

2 BiB were parked over that junction as I left it on Thurs night and one lane was still closed today.
Sounds like a very lucky escape

Ah, we very nearly bought a house in Airmyn, the Tide Race, just opposite the 'Dutch" house with the huge window and chandelier!

Ended up in Hook ... so make that about 4 minutes smile

So you didn't do the Howden 10k today then Rach?

It was quite warm, but it's flat, so I managed a 'not enough training' type 49mins frown

I was driving back from Lossie with the StreetKa rammed full of my stuff, would rather have done the 10k!
49 mins is really good! My last 10k was 1.20, I'm really unfit at the mo', just bought new trainers I needed more support after breaking my toe so will be back in no time biggrin

I made a half hearted attempt at running last summer when I thought i might do the manchester 10k ... after not running for about 8 years I did 3 miles in 24 mins and decided I didn't really fancy doing another 3 on top of that!

Really do need to start doing something to get fit, but my wilpower is seriously lacking. If you needa running partner Stu let me know ... easy start though eh?

(or even the push bike... that really needs some miles putting on it.)

I lived at my parents for a short time in Airmyn, now moved to France.

But I'm up the road, bit further up the road than Burriana
