I'm looking for a good butcher in north Yorkshire in the Selby / south of york area. This is for Pheasant for Christmas dinner.

Price is not a massive issue also they must sell good steaks

Cheers

Might be a bit out of your way, but there is a Farm shop on Denby dale road (J39 M1) called Blacker hall farm shop. Meats are excellent, that's where we got our Crimbo meat feast from last year. Most recommended

+1, Starkey's come pretty well recommended. They are always busy!

I had a pair of huge sirloin steaks from there a month ago and they were scrummy yummy smile

Their sirloin is something else eightseventhree, you won't be disappointed. Tell em the Sunderland fan recommended you!

Changing tack, I paid the Italian fine the other day but am not sure how to go about appealing. Got any ideas? Done it? PM me if you've got a cunning plan...

It's a proper scam. Done twice in the space of 20 minutes and T+Cs of hire car company agreement means they can nail me for £30 - twice - for forwarding my details to plod. Not impressed.

Dawson's in Brayton. Been buying steak there for 31 years, you will not buy better steak anywhere. And I'm sure Charlie will fix you up with a pheasant, or alternativly just run one over. Ask Tallbloke for details. hehe
