I just put my little Chavhatch up for sale. I've got a bit sad about it - I love that car. Anyone else get sad when they've had to sell a car? Even if it means upgrading...

Only once. Had an '87 Escort RS Turbo in Rosso Red back in '94 and had to let go after only 9 months owning it. But I did get back £500 more than I paid for it biggrin
It was too old at the time to qualify for the car allowance at work. But the really hurtfull thing was that I could only afford to replace it with a 6 month old 1.6 Escort LX.
It only made the pain twice as bad cry

Yep....my TVR Chimaera is up for sale and I think I will be sad to see her go, but I am hoping to replace her with a 911, poss a 993 C4 or maybe a 996 C4 if I can't stretch to a 993! So the sadness won't last long! biggrin

Good call! I'm buying an Elise 111R, which is my realistic dream car so I'm incredibly excited. Still, you develop a real bond with your car, don't you? I've been all the way to Belgium in Chavhatch and it's been such a faithful partner. Onwards and upwards, I suppose...

I was gutted when I sold my old VX220. When they drove off in it, it was the first time i'd heard it's sports exhaust from the outside and it sounded awesome. Still, onwards and upwards...

I've got attached to most of my cars - upgrading though makes letting go of them a bit less painful.

Had a response to the ad for the car. Will see how things go. Is so sad to say goodbye. I'm such a massive emo!

I still bitterly regret selling my last Lotus 7, a S3 concours condition car, which Caterham bought from me... unseen, over the phone, for my asking price. frown

That was about 20 years ago !

I regretted selling my Coupe for the same reason, and the fact that it was an ace car.
